“Port Macquarie Hastings Regional Gallery held the Ranamok Glass prize exhibition during January 2005. The exhibition was accompanied by a strong and lively program of events. The glass works stood like exquisite sentinels when the gallery drew large crowds for the lively workshops and glass demonstrations held throughout the month.”

“During Opening night, Ranamok finalist, Mark Elliot held the audience captive with his guided tour explaining the technical highlights and the development and processes involved in the production of the most unusual works.

This was followed by Mark presenting an impressive jazz saxophone performance and then using the musical experience to inspire a series of works he created in front of the audience. I hope the images in this presentation convey some of the excitement and unusual events experienced by the audience” said Sharni Lloyd Gallery Director.

“Why not take the opportunity to use the 'art glass' activities and educational worksheets in this presentation. These can be used independently of the exhibition. I hope you enjoy this presentation and develop a deeper understanding of Australia's Glass Art.”
